I really like Charvin & this reminded me of why. It's all about balance rather than in your face power. There's plenty of earth (not funk) and herbs, but also meaty elements, dark red fruits and a visible spine in the wine. It's delicious now, but it could age effortlessly for a long time on balance alone.
