Andres Wines
Niagara Peninsula
Fairly dark red in the glass.
A shy nose, with some veggy notes and forest floor in the fall.
Soft and round in the mouth, medium weight, black cherry and blackberry fruit, good acidity, fairly rich, earthy, some light veggy notes, a hint of chocolate, spice, slightly viscous.
A drying finish.
Not a forward-showy wine, but it has the stuff, with that earth-leaves in the fall notes that I love in a Cab Franc. A very nice wine.
Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).
