Niagara Peninsula.
Light cherry red in the glass.
Earthy, bitter notes on the nose.
Medium bodied, cherry and raspberry fruit, spicy, viscous, good acidity, refreshing, with a mild bitter streak.
A tangy finish.
Not a great wine, but certainly not the worst I have had. The 2006 vintage in Ontario was pretty bad for red wine, so I was taking a chance when I purchased this. Will try this again when the 2007 (a better vintage, I am told) comes out.
Purchased at $12.95 (Canadian).
