Bottled by SARL Yves Gras. Imported by Robert Kacher Selections, Washington, DC. 14% abv. Very dark color; opaque. On the nose I find raspberry and dark berries. The impression in the mouth is of warm dark berries like a berry sauce accompanying a meat dish or over ice cream or cake. There are some undernotes of pepper and smoke. This delivers a fairly long finish. It's a fun drink to which I warmed up. Pretty nice with a sharp Cheddar. On the first evening I had it with ground beef stuffed pepper, the second evening with a grilled cheese sandwich and the final evening with broiled strip steak. Some sediment in the final pour. I have two more bottles and may include them in a winetasting at church.
