2011 Clos du Val Stags Leap Cabernet Franc. This was just a stunning rendition of Cabernet Franc! While showing some green pepper pyrazines, they were in no way dominant, and given the cold year, this wine still presented some lovely richness. All about violets and earth and cassis. Way too young, probably, but this was just so delicious we finished it Sunday night!!!!

20113 Corison Rose. Savory, saline, and delicious cab rose!

Baldacci IV Sons 2011. I have developed a major fondness for this kitchen sink blend made by the Stags' Leap family winery! Very fresh, with a hint of lovely green but also plenty of multilayered red and black fruits, great acidity, and fantastic earthyness.

Broc Cellars 2011 Nero D'Avola. Funky, blazing acidity, and utterly delicious. Red fruit! Yum!
