Will be overnighting in Asheville, NC on our way south. Anyone have recommendations for restaurants with good wine lists? Thanks.

But the Asheville Wine Market downtown is worth a visit.

I haven't visited Asheville for some years. Was thinking of Flying Frog but I see that it closed back in 2011! You might try Grove Park Inn--it has several restaurants and the Vue 1913 American Brasserie is listed as having a wine bar. The Sunset Terrace at the inn is famous for sunset viewing with cocktails.

Asheville has really blossomed in the past 5-10 years. Home to quite a few breweries, but a developing restaurant town as well. I would get there and pickup a local newspaper and ask around. It is a great little town.

Some friends moved to Asheville couple years ago, recently sent me an article about a wine event there, but I can't find email. I know Curate is a recommended restaurant for list.
