WTN: 2009 Edition Maximilian Rheingau Riesling Spatlese

Says both Spatlese and Late Harvest on the label. 9.5% abv. Bottled by Hans Lang. This was a Trader Joe's purchase in Raleigh. Medium straw color with transparency. Nose and palate have peachy notes and also a lemon/lime or lemon drop note. It has a measured stoniness and acidity. I liked this better the second and third evening. On the second evening I had it with chicken thighs in a lemony sauce with asparagus topping. On the third evening it enhanced a Wienerschnitzel (pork, not veal) and battered button mushrooms with a yogurt dpping sauce.
