Here we go again

by Jenise » Sat Apr 13, 2024 9:11 am

A box of wine got as far as my the local station and it's just sitting on a truck waiting to go. This says it will be delivered today but there's no reason to believe this truck will move until Monday. This has become our 'normal'.

That's annoying!

I buy a lot of BC wines by the case and they use a medical transport company that delivers in refrigerated trucks, on time. A very pleasant change from most other delivery methods I used to use.

Yes, I really like the ATS (medical transport) courier system here. Fast and always on time (so far). Sorry for the headaches, Jenise!

Update: every time this happens, I call 1-800-FedEx and complain. This time, however, I forced the person I spoke with to write a formal complaint vs. just giving me vacant promises from a script. And of all things yesterday someone from the Burlington station called me, and he can't explain or defend what happened--or, worse, keeps happening--but I now have an inside man with a direct line phone number and email address who will make sure this doesn't happen again.

Ha! Just when I thought it was over...so I refused this package and the driver's notation about that in the Travel History was accurate. HOWEVER, they attempted to deliver it again on Monday and on Tuesday I got a text message advising me that they were holding it for me and I had five days to pick it up. The location of this pick-up was not identified in the message so I figured it was at the Burlington station (60 miles away) and ignored it. Meanwhile the sender was looking for it to be returned to them and they finally located it--at a Walgreens.
