The whole tipping thing makes me confused and uncomfortable. It's not the norm over here in Oz. I wouldn't say that waiting staff are paid a huge amount of money, but there isn't the expectation that tipping is a necessary part of making up a living wage for them. I get confused as hell when I travel to some place where I should be tipping. I am sure I get it wrong a lot of the time.
