I've frequently used grapeseed oil for sauteing steaks, but that's about it.

Grapeseed oil has a high smoke point, which is why it's handy for sauteing. I always keep a bottle on hand. I can't say there's no smoke, but it might be from the steak, not the oil. The taste is neutral.
