Is this a deal?

by MikeH » Sat Sep 29, 2007 12:04 pm

Local kitchen store had their big sale this week. We picked up an All Clad stainless steel 5 quart saute pan with lid and splatter screen for $170.

Good, bad, or indifferent?
Cheers!

I recently looked at the prices for this pan online.

Amazon had it around $200. Williams-Sonoma had the 4 qt for the price you paid for the 5 qt.

I usually buy my All-Clad through Cookware and More. They have All-Clad irregulars, all with the same warranty as regular All-Clad purchased anywhere. I've never been able to figure out what is "irregular" about the pieces I have either.

OK, I was curious, so I just compared Williams-Sonoma and Cookware and More, on a few items:

8 inch nonstick stainless steel fry pan... W-S $90. CWAM $61.20
2 qt stainless saucepan with lid... W-S $140.00 CWAM $95.20

You get the idea. And they often have specials on their website with an additional 20% off All Clad items, or free shipping.

No affiliation yada yada.
