Interesting article on food blogging

Wall Street Journal article.

This paragraph says it all to me:

"Ms. Freeman is one of a growing number of bloggers who have crossed the line into print media. In August, the New York Daily News hired her as its new restaurant critic. She says she stopped taking free meals before getting the new job to give her reviews more credibility."

I'm not so sure I like citizen journalism, but then, I'm not sure I like journalism anymore either...

I do enjoy "food porn" from time to time -- I just look at the pics
Though the only blog I visit with any regularity is one mentioned in the article, Chocolate & Zucchini, and only because I had met Clotilde during her days as an engineer in Silicon Valley.
