Last weekend at Uwajimaya. The weekend before in Vancouver's Granville Market, at Lobster Man.

Lee, now in Seattle (well, Kent), digging out from under a pile of boxes.

Lee, thanks for the tip. I'll be in Vancouver tomorrow, I'll look. I did find some there once before, but they were the small local pink scallops, not sea scallops. Did you note what kind you saw?

Boxes...have you moved here?

I didn't look closely at the scallops...we were in a bit of hurry to avoid the rush at the border.

Indeed we have moved. We're now in Kent, WA.

The pink scallops are tiny, where the edible portion is about 1/2". Delicious, but not the sea scallops that are also caught/harvested off our shores here.

Welcome to Washington--we'll have to offline sometime. Hope you're not under water down there, though I think Kent should be well north of the problem (haven't been to Kent, not sure.)

Lee, I moved to Lexington Ky from Fargo North Dakota back in May 1978. the winters of 77-78 and 78-79 were considered very cold here. I think that snow was on the ground for 90 straight days in 77-78, and the temp was awful cold to most in 78-89. To me, my first winter here seemed as if we had no winter at all.
