I literally couldn't put it down, Cynthia. It grabbed during the first ten pages, and it was 4:00 am before I let it go.

Bob, well, I can't put it down either and here I sit at 1:00 am having just finished Chapter 23. After I read your post a couple of weeks ago, I went directly to Amazon and bought the book. My wife had read about the book, knew it would interest me, and bought it for me as a Christmas gift, so I have two copies! It truly is a great read. My ancestors are from Liguria and there is much I can identify with in her story. I made ravioli this weekend using a family recipe, but I have much work to do to master it.
