Great pictures, Robert. I'm really enticed by those jerked pumpkin seeds--perfect example of how a garnish can become a starring extra element that brings the other elements in the dish together.

Yes, those are the canned beans. It was a worthwhile experiment even though they aren't quite like dried beans done from scratch.
