I purchased a boned duck (it looked good and is cryovacced) and now I have gone blank as to what I could do with it.
Any ideas would be most welcome.

the classic of course would be to stuff with a meat/sausage stuffing and roll in a crust (Julia Child recipe is well known).
There is always turducken. :)

Hate to say it, but that was the first thing that occurred to me.

I would stuff it with a bread and fruit stuffing, and serve with a cider gravy. Where in the world did you find a deboned duck? I would love to buy one!

Hi Carrie
Still thinking about all this!
The duck I purchased at an independant supermarket I frequent. I hadn't seen them there before, it may have been part of the Christmas
products. I will ask them next time I am in there.
You should be able to find a specialist poultry store that would bone a duck for you, might need to order in advance. I have had chickens boned for me at various places
sometimes they charge a dollar or two.
all the best for the new year!

I would make a bread stuffing with the addition of apple and kraut.

Thanks Barb! Never thought of having a butcher de-bone for me. Do you think he'd be cursing me behind the glass? :)
Happy New Year to you too! Let us know what you do with your boneless duck.

Well I finally had to use my beautiful duck. Ran out of time really and still lacked inspiration. and turned out there would just be we two so just poached it in a Chinese (ish) master stock, air dried briefly and roasted it.
Served as peking duck style wraps with oak leaf lettuce, spring onions and hoi sin.
Follow meal was Duck soup using the master stock and adding the duck meat, greens from the garden and dumplings.
It was all delicious, next time I find one I will try to do better!!
Turducken briefly (very briefly) crossed my mind early on but no.
