King Estate King Estate 1996 Oregon Pinot Gris ($11.99)
Pale brass color, with fresh melon and citrus aromas. Full-bodied, crisp and tart, flavors are consistent with the nose, ripe and full in a long, cleansing finish. (June 2, 1999)

FOOD MATCH: Oregonians are wildly enthusiastic about the local Pinot Gris with salmon, and this one certainly passed that test, making a perfect match with a slab of fresh Alaska Copper River salmon from the grill.
